  1. To start your study, attack the sections that you’re like the most or you are strongest at before moving on to the sections that you don’t like or do not have any background. This helps save your brain capacity for the best sections and to create momentum. However, we have to consider which sections take the most weight in the exam, depending on which level you are.

  1. Combine your study with the review of the first sections so that things are updated frequently and you would not forget book 1 while working on book 5. Eg: review main ideas of book 1 while working on book 3, and move to the review of book 2 while studying on book 4, etc.

  1. If you do not have background on finance, economics or accounting, you should spend at least twice of the minimum required study time as suggested by CFAI.

  1. Always take annual leave during the last few weeks for full concentration

  1. Mocks exams are very helpful to get you familiar with the types of questions. Get the mock exams and work on them, firstly take your time and then under exam time constraint (to be familiar with time pressure) as much as you can. Learn from the answers, especially those of your wrong questions. Exchange your mock exams or questions banks with other candidates to enrich your practice experience.

  1. One of the most effective ways is to study with your peers. Thus, join others to form your study group as soon as possible and share your knowledge and work. The most effective number of group members is 4 or 5.

  1. Practice, pratice and practice. The more you work on the exercises and questions, the more you're familiar with the exam questions and know your strengths and weaknesses.

  1. The best way is to combine the study notes of Schewser and the curriculum. Start with the curriculum in order to know Where to find, What in the materials, then summarise your knowledge with Schweser as the exam is closer. Look back to the curriculum if the notes are too short or not understandable enough. How to use each of the materials depends on your background knowledge.

  1. If you want to attend any study group session and prep-course class, be well-prepared with the questions that you had during your study. If you did not read or work on the materials, do not come as you waste your time and others'.

  1. Apply flash / memrory cards with your own notes so you can bring them everywhere and whenever you have free time to take a look and memorise the most important points for the exam, especially the formular.

  1. Use mind map to summarise the sections. Draw tree chart or graphs or any types of images so that you can learn easily. Use different colours for each point, if possible.
